Before anything, you will need two things. A decent Desktop as well as the Java version of Minecraft. Nomad.So Without either of these items, making your own Minecraft server will become a very trying matter to accomplish. Other versions like the pocket edition or Bedrock will not be able to assist you in the creation of a Minecraft server, so make sure you have the proper hardware and software to proceed to the next step. Once you’ve confirmed that you have the required equipment, you can go to Minecraft.net and start your next phase. After logging in, you will need to download Server.Jar.

You need not worry about the file being out of date as it is consistently updated with every new version of Minecraft that is released. To ensure that the file doesn’t get deleted, but also so that it is available for the next step, make sure you create a folder.

After that, you can enter the folder containing your program and run the main system. After that enter the eula.txt.file after accepting the agreement and then change the line eula=false to eula=true. After saving the changes, exit and run the main.jar file. This will allow you to see all the documents and txts files within it. You will now have your brand new Minecraft server. However, you won’t be done yet.

To properly launch your server you will need to create a file. First, reenter your folder. Next, create a new document. Name it something that signals it is a proper launch. After this is done, you’ll need to click on a document and enter below the code:
Java -Xms1024M -Xm1024 -jar server.jar pause
The server will run faster if you include this coded command in a document.
A quick reminder: All files you create in this folder should be tagged with “.bat” at end of names.
To test if the steps you have taken, try testing your start_server buttons. If you followed the correct instructions, your new server will launch. If not, take note to see if you’ve named your files and documents correctly.

The last step you’ll take is the familiar one you use every time you create new worlds in your base Minecraft game. Go to your server properties file and you will see a list of options for the world of your Minecraft game that you can change with impunity.
This can be a setting for difficulty, maximum number of players or game mode. It could even include the name of your world. This section is for the type world you wish to create when you start your server. So take some time to consider what kind of environment it would be.

Your server will be your final step. Then take the time to run Minecraft itself so that you can get to the multiplayer tab so that you can have access to your add server option. As mentioned above, you will need your IP address to allow other players to access your server. Once you have done that, you should be able to connect to your server. From there you can start enjoying the fruits of your labor via your custom server.
